Oh the errors!
Most IT people are going to say restarting is going to generally fix the issue others will say or suggest you need to completely log out, Clear your caches, Delete and reinstall, unfortunately in this case, none of those solutions are going to work since a problem is solely relying on the source. The source is the only ones who can fix the issue.
I’m receiving a 404 when trying to watch a channel, when it worked before, how can I fix this? A 404 indicates that the URL that you currently have is no longer valid because the source deleted it, change the name. You have three options options:
- Option one: Do nothing, sometimes this may only be a temporary issue as maybe the server is having technical problems and Will come back online soon. Perhaps try again 30 minutes, an hour or 24 hours later.
- Option two: If you waited sometime and it hasn’t resolved itself, then the next step is, you’re gonna have to find a different source, Usually within 24 hours, if it hasn’t been restored chances are it won’t be.
- Option three: if you strongly believe that you should not be receiving this error, but instead, you are try contacting the source and let them know that you are getting this error, it is possible that from their end everything is appear to be working correctly, but on your end, things aren’t working correctly. They may give you a new URL or give you specific instructions.
Some of the streams, a.k.a. the source will have a combination of letters, numbers that are uppercase and lowercase that appear to be randomly generated after the .m3u8, which this is called a token or a security key, it is possible that the key or security token has expired after a certain amount of time if it expires, it may not give you a 403 but instead just say the resource isn’t found. The way to resolve this is you will need to go to the source in either extend the key/token, regenerate or generate a new one.
In general terms, if you receive a 404 error, this indicates that what’s you’re requesting is not found on the server anymore either because the name has changed, deleted, or what you requesting was never on a server to begin with.
I’m getting a 403 error what does this mean? How can I fix it?
A 403 error means that you are forbidden. If they stream URL a.k.a. the source worked before and now it does not. It is possible that the stream key or token usually at the end of .m3u8 will have A combination of randomly generated uppercase, lowercase, numbers that sometimes quite long, which is only valid for a certain amount of time before it automatically expires. Once it automatically expires, it will usually throw a 403 forbidden error. You’ll need to contact the source to either extend the token, Reactivated or regenerate a token.
Option two: do nothing. Sometimes doing nothing and just simply waiting 30 minutes, an hour or maybe 24 hours the issue will self resolve itself perhaps maybe due to a server misconfiguration
What does this error mean? An error occurred: HttpDataSourceSHttpDataSourceException Retrying (#/#)
The error your seeing is an issue with the stream, not you, your TV, internet connection, VPN and not the IPTV player.
